Well at least the Jazz seem like they have a fighting chance this year. I don't know that they can overcome the lack of size especially with Okur out and Fesenko's lack of experience. I think long term the time that Fes is getting will pay off.
It does kill me listening to national broadcasts and somehow I feel like I am watching the Laker's broadcast. They are simply superlative in every aspect, and the only reason they are ever beaten is because they aren't playing well, and aren't choosing to win. SO ANNOYING! Probably just my own fan bias coming through.
We'll see what happens Friday.
A smattering of not necessarily interconnected thoughts. Brought to you by someone who thinks.

Sports Offseasons
I don't envy sports talk show hosts whose shows are driven by one or only a few sports. Here in Salt Lake City there is really on the Jazz and the college sports teams. No I am not dogging on MLS, it just isn't really on the sports map here with most people so the hosts don't give Soccer much play. I love soccer.
It must be really difficult to have to rehash the same issues everyday with relatively little change, while trying to bring fresh perspectives to it so your listeners keep tuning in. I mean how many times can you discuss, "Will or won't Carlos Boozer opt out"?
That is really okay though since I am not listening to the radio much lately as I try to use my drive time to improve how I think.
Hopefully the Jazz will have exciting news soon. Without some big moves next year may end up pretty painful.

What is up with the Jazz?
So for the second game in a row, the Jazz choked away a huge lead in the third quarter. I can understand getting a little complacent and letting a big lead shrink, but 24 points? Gone?
I guess the consolation is that they won.
Seems like a fairly brutal stretch run, hopefully the Jazz can finish strong. I don't think they will win the North West, but it is still possible. Home court seems like a must watching these guys play on the road.
